Currently, 6-8 billion m3/year of coal bed methane were exhausted into atmosphere during process of coal mining in China. This accounts for one third of the world’s total coal bed methane emissions. It caused both energy waste and environmental pollution.
In August 2007, the liquefaction and separation device for oxygen-bearing coal bed methane developed by us ran successfully in YangMei group and JinMei group.The methane purity and recovery rate of LNG can reach more than 99%, solving the difficulties in utilization of oxygen-bearing coal bed methane. The industrialization of this device promotes the utilization of coal mine gas and safe production, bringing huge economic and social benefits. It has a great significance for the building of a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society.
Typical Case
Later in May 2011, we had successfully constructed low concentration coal mine gas for LNG pilot plant in chongqing codium mine (one of the national "11th five-year plan" major projects). Also in November 2016, we had built the first set of liquefaction and separation of coal mine gas for LNG device (100000 Nm3/ day) in Panxian, guizhou province.
